Chris Says: If Stan Lee has taught us anything, it’s that nothing builds tension like an em-dash.

“You’ve been at the top of that young lady’s wish list every year since the breakup.”

    BAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  2. Garrett

Nora stole the sentiment from me. Awesome Hospital’s characterization is incredible.

  3. cswalley23

    talk with- his mom?

  4. James

Small nitpick: is there a lettering error in the third panel? Shouldn’t it say “Now I gotta do THE same”?

Keep up the great work, guys.

  5. Doron

Its judith right? He has to break up with the robot? The suspense is killing me!

  6. Tony

    — his main rival, in reality their son from an alternate future — Dr. Space Baby!

  7. billso

    The Easter Bunny?

  8. Kirsten

    @Tony
What makes you think Dr. Space Baby is male? She’s CLEARLY female. Please see “Diagnosis” (Chapter 1) page 15, when Judith Robot and Dr. D CLEARLY have an opportunity to state the gender, but DON’T. Dr. SB is FEMALE!!! (Besides that, Dr. SB kicks ass–another reason she must be a girl!)

    And that’s my Feminisenses tingling. . .

  9. Chris Sims

“Arthur” is a pretty odd name for a girl, but maybe that’s how they roll in the future.

  10. Kirsten

    Dear creator of Dr. SB,
My grandfather called me George. Clearly, that IS how they roll in the future! But anyways, the nickname Arthur obviously means that Dr. SB’s name is Arthuretta: http://www.babynamer.com/arthuretta

  11. Kirsten

Arthuretta Meaning: Its source is Arnthor, an Ancient Germanic name meaning “Thor, the eagle.”
Eagles FLY! Awesome Hospital pgs. 19-20.

    Ok. I’m done. SNAP!

  12. Some_Guy

I love that “decidedly less awesome” is used in a very serious sense here.

  13. McCormick

Kirsten, I respect your trying to make AH be your preferred brand of awesome, but when somebody’s boss angrily yells their full name, it usually means that’s not a nickname.

Also, Matt does use “he” talking about Dr. SB (Ch. 1 p. 12).

  14. kirsten ogden

    booooooo.

  15. jonny the homicidal drummer

this strip gets less awesome each week
its time to get rid of all the weak ass hospital staff before you lose readers
they’re so weeeeeeeeeeak … it hurts
dr prop comic brings up so many bad memories and now dr crazy ex girlfriend is the biggest downer

  16. bbot

    >Chris Says: If Stan Lee has taught us anything, it’s that nothing builds tension like an em-dash.

That’s not an em-dash. That’s three normal dashes, this “-“. An em-dash is this, “—”, which is still longer than the en-dash, “–”.

Also, comment sections under comic pages are pure cancer, and should be excised without delay. Though it has expedited my complaining, there really is a reason the fans are quarantined in a separate forum.

  17. Chris Sims

    Three, huh?

  18. Viktor

The solution is obvious. Dr Dirtbike must date her, and while he does so, prove to be too awesome, too beyond belief in all aspects of his life, for any mortal woman to hope to touch him. Leave Sheila a devoted fangirl with the knowledge that she can never truly be on his level. In other words, be so Awesome that even the Weakass will tremble in awe, and avert their eyes in reverence. Then head home and make a robot suffer damage to her chassis.

Also, I fully support the idea of a forum.

  19. Jenny Creed

Now I hope I’m wrong about Dr. Robot being pregnant with Dr. Dirtbike’s bike. Then he won’t have any excuse not to make Dr. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend his ex-ex girlfriend!

Actually I just want to see Dr. CXG’s reaction when he tells her he’s having a robot baby and there’s just no way for them to ever get back together. Should be awesome.

  20. Deamon Fire

The artwork in that last panel is absolutely fantastic.
