Awesome Hospital Forever, Page 27

Phew!  Sorry we’re late, everybody, but unforseen circumstances pushed us into a slightly delayed update.  But don’t worry, we’ve got some good news too!

This weekend, for the first time ever, the entire creative team of Awesome Hospital will be together at HeroesCon 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina! The Southeast’s greatest comic book convention is the next stop on the Action Age Comics Never Look Back Never Say Die World Tour 2011!

Chris and Chad have been doing this show every year since before Awesome Hospital began, but this time around, they’re being joined by our illustrious artist, Marvelous Matt Digges and our inimitable letterer, Jazzy Josh Krach!

We’ll be at Table 626 (very close to our friends from Agreeable Comics), and not only will we have a great sampling of Action Age Comics, including the print versions of both AH’s first arc and Chad’s incredible Monster Plus, but we’ll also have a great promotional giveaway!  And as a special bonus, we’ll all be doing sketches!  Even the writers!

Plus, you can catch Chris and Chad on panels too!  Chris will be moderating a panel with the guys from Comic Twart on Friday at 1:00 PM in Room 206 with Tom Fowler, Francesco Francavilla, Dan Panosian, Ron Salas, Declan Shalvey and Dave Johnson! Each member of the panel (except Chris) draws a character suggested by the audience with the sketches auctioned off at the annual HeroesCon Art Auction!

On Saturday at 2:30 in Room 206, Chris is joined by our pals Chris Haley and Curt Franklin for ComicsAlliance Live! The panel takes questions from the audience on just about everything, including what it’s like to work for the #1 Comics News Site in America!

On Sunday at 11:30 AM in Room 206 (great room, that one), Chris, Chad and Matt appear alongside a bunch of friends at Webcomics: Group Effort, to discuss the freedom of doing comics on the web and what it’s been like to build Awesome Hospital, Monster Plus and others as part of the Action Age family!

Finally, on Sunday at 1:00 PM in Room 209, Chad moderates the annual Family Friendly Comics panel, featuring Chris Schweizer, Chris Giarrusso , Andy Runton and Jamie Cosley!

Told you we were busy!

We’ll be hanging out all weekend, so if you’re in the area, come by and see us at Table 626! See you there!

The time stream is well-labeled. Very handy for the new time traveler.

  2. Adler

Oh my god, you drew the time stream the same way as it used to look in the Silver Age when Superboy used to visit the Legion. (Does it still get drawn that way in DC stories?) I LOVE IT. Also the fact that the vehicle is maybe on fire.

  3. Matt Maybray

The Emmett Brown Clause clearly states that ALL wheeled vehicles trail fire while traveling through time.

  4. Bill S.

The timestream is like a candy-colored rainbow! I love it!

  5. Walter Ostlie

Hello there, I chatted with you guys a little at the Heroes after party thing while we were eating. I have the comic called Cubicles. Anyways Awesome Hospital looks great. Going to read back through your archive.

  6. Kyronic

I like how Dr. Dirtbike and Spacebaby are getting along a little more than they were in #1 (even though Mike did elbow him). Arthur also has more of an infant side that makes him more understandable, instead of the bossy version in Diagnosis.
